Shelter Wish List - ACCESS - Assault Care Center Extending Shelter & Support

Shelter Wish List

ACCESS is looking for items to best serve the community. Below is a wish list of items we find helpful in reaching our goals. If you would like to contribute please call ahead to arrange your donation time at 515-292-0500.

If you have items we do not have the space to store, we will direct you to other organizations that assist our clients such as Overflow Thrift Store or the Free Store in Des Moines.

*Please note: we currently have a large supply of sample-size items and are unable to accept more at this time.

Monetary Contributions

Financial donations are always welcomed and can be designated for a specific program or budget such as: shelter operations, children’s programming, food, client assistance, etc.

Get your friends or organization motivated and hold a fundraiser or supply drive for ACCESS!  Previous drives have included clothing, food, pajamas, and personal care products.

We also accept gift cards:

  • Grocery - Fareway, HyVee
  • Gas - Casey’s, Kum n Go, etc.
  • Discount stores - Wal-Mart, Target, and Kmart
  • Cy-Ride Tickets
  • HIRTA Bucks

If you would like to make a donation to one of our offices, or to our shelter, please call the numbers associated with those locations to schedule a drop-off time.  Unfortunately, we cannot accept all donations due to storage constraints.  At this time we do not accept clothing donations or sample size products.  Thank you!
