If you would like to make a donation to one of our offices or to one of our shelter units, please contact Val at val@assaultcarecenter.org or call 515-292-0500 to schedule a drop-off time. Unfortunately, we cannot accept all donations due to storage constraints. We do have a partnership with Overflow Thrift Store in Ames for items such as clothing, toys, appliances, home decor, etc. Click here for a list of items that Overflow will take. - Cash donations (cash donations help to meet the various and unique financial needs that victims and survivors may have.)
- Checks can be mailed to PO Box 1429, Ames IA 50014
- Cash donations can be dropped off at our Airport Rd. office location.
- You can also easily donate online by clicking the DONATE button at the top of our website
- Gift card donations (to help with emergencies, groceries, unique needs)
- Target, Walmart and HyVee
- Gas card donations (to help with gas to get to appointments, shelter, childcare etc.)
- Casey's, Kum & Go or HyVee Gas
- Emergency cell phones and phone plan cards
- Straight talk 30 day plans - Target & Walmart
- Universal gift card donations (to help with clothing, groceries, needed items to stay safe)

The ACCESS office in Ames serves as the hub for Story County outreach services and emergency shelter for Boone, Story, and Marshall Counties.
