The Clothesline Project is a national event held throughout the US to raise awareness of violence against women. It is a display of shirts created by individuals affected by violence against women, specifically sexual assault. ACCESS hosts several exhibits of the clothesline project in collaboration with the Margaret Sloss Women's Center at Iowa State University, as well as community schools in Story, Boone, and Greene counties as a part of Sexual Assault Awareness Month each April. The Clothesline project is a means by which survivors can creatively give voice to their experiences and share with others the impact violence has had on their lives.
