Boone County Outreach

ACCESS provides outreach services to Boone County with the satellite office located in Boone. ACCESS is also the fiscal manager for the Boone County Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence. The BCCADSV consists of proactive community members collaborating to increase awareness of domestic and sexual abuse and provide community education within Boone County.

The BCCADSV meets the first Thursday of every month for one hour. Coalition members plan awareness activities, pool resources and combine efforts in order to effect social change in the areas of domestic and sexual abuse.

Shown above, members of the Boone County Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence present Don Anderson, Former Assistant Chief of Police from the Boone Police Department with a plaque for his outstanding dedication to survivors of domestic and sexual abuse in Boone County. Don Anderson had been an active member of the BCCADSV for many years and retired in February. He will be greatly missed!

Shown above, members of the Boone County Coalition Against Domestic & Sexual Violence present Jody King, (Registered Nurse from the Boone County Hospital and coalition member) with a plaque for her dedication to the principles and ideals of the coalition.  Jody is an active member and has contributed tremendously to improving the medical and community response that sexual assault victims receive when obtaining help.
